We’ll also be creating a new website for the public to retrieve local information on holiday recycling tips, tree drop-off locations, etc. This new website will be included on all our outreach materials.
Here’s last year’s campaign summary...we expect this year’s campaign to be similar.

TV Spot
The group’s new TV spot – “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle!” was aired in both :30 and
:15 versions. The spot features our “talent” magically recycling various holiday
materials into her personified recycling container. Spot includes a tag at the end: “Funded by the Department of Conservation and your local recycling program.”
TV Schedule
A schedule of TV spots aired from Wednesday, December 21 through Sunday
January 15 (only PSA and bonus spots aired after January 1). We were able
to purchase air time at “below market” rates due to the traditional drop-off in demand from retailers during this time of year.
For broadcast television, we placed schedules on KCRA Channel 3 (NBC),
KXTV Channel 10 (ABC), and KTXL Fox 40. Dayparts included prime, fringe
and daytime. These stations’ broadcast includes a large geographic area that
encompasses all of the participants.
